Liz Chapman - background
I previously worked as an Associate Counsellor for the Cambridge University Counselling Service. Before that I worked as an academic researcher for the University of Cambridge for 10 years.
I’m an integrative relational counsellor, which means I draw on a flexible range of strategies for supporting people with change - including CBT and psychodynamic approaches - and I put a particular emphasis on the relationship between the counsellor and the client as the core component of positive change.
In terms of qualifications and memberships, I am a qualified counsellor, Member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) psychotherapeutic counselling section, Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a Chartered Psychologist.
I am bound by the UKCP’s ethical principles and code of professional conduct.
I am available for appointments: Monday all day, Tuesday evening, Wednesday morning and Saturday day time.
