Penny Price

Hello, I’m Penny. I work as a counsellor in Cambridge.

I have experience of working with various problems, such as stress and depression. I am also especially interested in working with self esteem issues and in working with people who feel they may have lost sight of their real selves.

I am more than happy to explore working with whatever particular issues you may have, so please get in touch.

As well as Cambridge Counselling Service, I also work for the YMCA charity Timestop offering counselling to young adults.

Penny Price – background

My original training was in psychodynamic counselling and then I trained to become an integrative counsellor. As an integrative counsellor  I am able to

draw on a number of strategies, such as psychodynamic therapy, CBT and transactional analysis to inform my work.

Central to my work is the belief that it is the counselling relationship which facilitates therapeutic change.

In terms of qualifications and memberships, I am a qualified counsellor and registrant of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), psychotherapeutic counselling section.

I have a Cert. Ed in Psychodynamic Counselling and a Diploma in Integrative Counselling. I have a degree in integrative counselling.

As a registrant of UKCP I am bound by UKCP’s Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and subject to the UKCP Professional Conduct Procedure.

I am available for appointments Wednesday evenings and Friday day time.
